Sparkling wine is a rare visitor to the Chairman's Selection program, so when we saw this at $16.99 ($18-$32 elsewhere) we grabbed it.
The bottle is pretty and festive and has a lot of heft to it. The wine has a lovely pale yellow color and a whimsical bubble stream. Notes of apple and citrus, very toasty. Crisp and refreshing, this was a nice change of pace.
Something odd seems to be going on with availability, when we bought it a few days ago there were bottles all over the state; now they seem to be saying none is available. Buy it if you can find it.
UPDATE: Web site now shows this widely available in Center City and the Main Line.
