One of the best wines we've had this year. Plush and full bodied, dark tasting flavors--e.g. tobacco, leather, coffee--all beatifully blended and balanced. Mature and structured tannins. The finish was so long we were tasting it after the meal was over.
Seemed to be a notch above and in a different category than most of the $10-$15 wines we usually drink. Prices on wine-searcher are $38 and up, so this is still something of a bargain at $27.99. Pair with rich food.
Still some available at 19th and Chestnut, 12th and Chestnut, and Society Hill.
