This Greco di Tufo from Rocca dei Sanniti paired magically and perfectly with linguine and clam sauce. The wine is dry and crisp but also silky and fruity. It's comparable to an unoaked Chardonnay or a non-grassy Sauvignon Blanc.
There's a lot of this wine in the PA system, probably because few people have heard of it and are hesistant to take a chance. Don't be! Good, non-expensive unoaked Chardonnay can be hard to find; this can be thought of as a lesser-known alternative at a good price. Excellent with seafood.
